if anything, the holidays are prime movie-watching time. i was watching the holiday earlier, and there’s that whole thing about cameron diaz imagining her life being narrated by hal douglas [the awesome movie voice-over guy].
and watching that, i totally thought that if anyone were to narrate my life, it would totally be morgan freeman. or maybe if he was too busy, craig ferguson. [lolz]

The music you listen to growing up will always be the most enduring because those songs carry with them precious memories. The records that I listened to, mostly due to my parents playing them on cassettes (those existed once) are so powerful that when I hear them, I am transported back to those times. I can recall one day in particular, driving down some freeway...

i’m sitting here, on a rilokiley/she&him/brighteyes-filled night, after my 3rdish reread of 1984. and all i can think about is how much i don’t understand any of this. this society. this world. this life. this existence. i feel like so much dissonance is enveloping me, and i can only hear static. why are we here? why am i doing what i’m doing? why are all these social codes...
